Position Summary
Gothenburg Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in Acute Care. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for identifying patient needs and prioritizing care through assessment, planning, and appropriately delegating care. When care is not provided directly by the Registered Nurse, the RN assigns/delegates care to the other qualified members of the health care team. The RN coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. Through documentation and verbal communication, essential information is shared with health care team members.

This position is expected to demonstrate competency in clinical skills necessary for the implementation of ordered nursing care. The Registered Nurse is expected to exercise informed judgment and uses individual competence and qualifications as criteria in prioritizing patient needs, seeking consultation, and performing duties to accomplish expected outcomes.

Key Accountabilities
Conduct and document assessment of patient medical status upon admission and throughout course of treatment
Maintain quality of care for patients of Gothenburg Health
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
Provide emergency and outpatient care including accompanying a patient to another facility
Assess continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities in order to maintain clinical currency
Assume role as ED, Outpatient, OB or Floor Nurse as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure for the state.
Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and PALS certifications.
