Staff Nurse

The Staff Nurse teams with the Director of Health Services to accomplish:
*new admissions and discharges
*order, prepare, and/or administer medications
*transcribe and assist with implementation of physician orders
*monitor resident health including periodic blood pressure, weight, and toenail care
*assist with the training and supervision of direct care staff
*share on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis

Our Staff Nurse must:
*have a heart for seniors
*have a solid general nursing background, with geriatric experience preferred, but not required
*have good judgment, leadership, and problem-solving skills, be dependable and able to work with minimal direct supervision once trained
*be team oriented
*understand, read, write, and speak English
*be authorized by the State of Minnesota to work, unsupervised, with our residents as determined by a background study
*be a currently licensed RN
