$45/hr NIGHT & WEEKEND SHIFTS
Registered Nurses provide medical oversight and coordinate care for the youth residing on campus for treatment. Staff should embody a positive and compassionate attitude, demonstrate effective communication skills, and have a desire to work with youth who exhibit behavioral and/or emotional issues.
Registered Nurse Performance Standards: Ensure a safe and therapeutic milieu for children in residential treatment programs by:
- Performing a full range of psychiatric nursing services including planning, administering, and evaluating the child’s care in accordance with behavioral support plans/treatment plans
- Assessing the child for safety concerns in collaboration with the treatment team and checking and monitoring the environmental safety of the unit/cottage
- Coordinating with the child, family, psychiatrist and clinician on medication management and medication compliance
- Coordinating with the family and integrating the child’s family into the routine medical needs of their child, along with contributing to the medical aftercare of the child
- Attending, with the family to the extent appropriate, medical appointments of the children and document how the family is integrated into the child’s treatment for medical issues
- Conducting and documenting a thorough assessment of a child’s medical status upon admission and throughout the child’s course of treatment in coordination with the family when appropriate
- Collaborating with the treatment in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan and or behavior support plan for each assigned child
- Functioning under the Indiana Nurse Practice Act as found in the Indiana Administrative Code, the American Nurses Association professional standards for care and nursing practice, and the corresponding policies and procedures of Campagna Academy
***Full time positions are Weekday (8 hour shifts): Evenings (3pm-11pm) or Midnights (11pm-7am); there are also some Part-time/Weekend 12 hour shifts available****

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
- Registered Nurse in good standing licensed by Indiana State Board of Nursing
- ADN or BSN Degree
- One-year acute care psychiatric experience or equivalent work experience
- Current American Heart Association/Red Cross CPR-Course “C” certification required. Annual recertification required.
- 21 years of age or older
Experience:
- Previous psychiatric experience with children and adolescents preferred
- De-escalation experience including crisis intervention management
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
